Parcent can be found inland from Jalon. It sits on a hill looking up the Jalon Valley amonst the orchards of almonds, oranges and vines that , before tourism, dominated its economy. The famous traditional ‘riu rans’ where raisins were dried can still be seen in Parcent.
One of its former residents, the painter Gabriel Miro, commented that Parcent was ‘a paradise between the mountains’.
Parcent provides access to the Pop Valley and beyond. Today many of its residents work on the coast but retain their quiet rural lifestyle in the village.
